כבל חימום סדרתי תלת פאזי בהספק קבוע להגנה מקפיאה ולשמירת טמפרטורת תהליך בצנרות ארוכות במידה בינונית. מתאים לצנרות באורך של עד 2 קילומטר. יישום טיפוסי הוא הגנה מקפיאה של צנרות מים עיליות. הכבל נועד לצמצם את מספר נקודות ההזנה החשמליות הנדרשות וכך להפחית עלויות כבלי הזנה וציוד חלוקה. לעיתים קרובות המעגלים מוזנים רק מקצות הצינור. המוליכים נבחרים לפי תפוקת החום הרצויה לאורך המעגל הנדרש. מבנה רדיד שטוח מספק שטח מחומם גדול ומאפשר טמפרטורות פעולה נמוכות יותר לעומת מבני מוליך עגולים שקולים. היצרן מציין כי הדבר משפר בטיחות ואורך חיים של המערכת. ההתאמה הסופית נקבעת לפי תנאי התהליך, מתח ההזנה, בקרת הטמפרטורה, סביבת ההתקנה ודרישות הבטיחות.
